The V Foundation Names Rob Steeger Vice President of Event and Cause Marketing
The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation’s leading cancer research funding organizations, is pleased to announce Rob Steeger as Vice President of Event & Cause Marketing. Steeger, most recently the Director of Partnership Marketing at the United States Tennis Association (USTA), was selected after an extensive nationwide search. As Vice President of Event & Cause Marketing, Steeger will develop and execute the overall strategy, tactics and budgets for existing and potential V Foundation events, community efforts, corporate partnerships and cause related marketing programs on a national level.
“We are so pleased to welcome Rob to The V Team! His wealth of experience and ‘Don’t Ever Give Up’ attitude will be an asset in every way,” said Susan Braun, CEO of The V Foundation. “We look forward to introducing Rob to our partners around the country and to adding more events and corporate partners to The V Foundation’s efforts to put an end to cancer.”
Steeger has significant experience in all phases of marketing and project management. As Director of Partnership Marketing at the USTA, Steeger focused on revenue generation and creation as well as development and execution of multi-platform sponsorship programs within the US Open and US Open Series tournaments. Prior to working for the USTA, Steeger was the Vice President of Global Sponsorships with MasterCard. There, he managed key relationships and marketing program execution within entertainment as well as a U.S. sports portfolio comprised of 17 National Football League teams, 11 Major League Baseball clubs and much more. Steeger has also previously been the Director of Global Sponsorships for American Express, executing marketing programs with Live Nation, Radio City Entertainment, AEG, USTA, USGA, PGA Tour, NBA, Cirque Du Soleil, Yahoo!, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers and more.
“I’m excited to be a part of a growing organization supporting the fight against cancer,” said Steeger. “Like so many others, I’ve been personally affected by cancer and knowing that each day I can contribute to The V Foundation’s mission will be a very rewarding experience.”
The V Foundation’s new Vice President of Event & Cause Marketing hire coincides with the Foundation’s focus on new and existing signature events.
