The V Foundation and the Cancer Vaccine Coalition (CVC) have joined forces to fund the development of therapeutic breast cancer vaccines—a promising new approach to preventing cancer recurrence and saving lives.
Founded by breast cancer survivor and former NBC correspondent Kristen Dahlgren, CVC is the only nonprofit focused solely on funding clinical trials that train the immune system to fight cancer. Through this partnership, CVC and the V Foundation will collaborate to fund research grants awarded through the V Foundation’s rigorous review process overseen by experts in the breast cancer field, including members of the V Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
With over $2 million raised and a goal of $3 million awarded through the V Foundation partnership, these “Game-Changer Grants” will support the most innovative trials in the field.
