Julie Chase

President and CEO

Julie Chase founded Chase Communications in 1997 in San Francisco, CA. In 2007 she expanded her firm to dual headquarters in SF and Washington, DC to address a growing national client base. In 2017, Chase Communications was acquired by LEVICK where she led the Corporate Practice, the largest firm group, for two years before leaving to found the more advisory-focused Chase Strategies.

Today she brings more than 25 years of experience in media relations and marketing communications to a diverse corporate client base across multiple industries, including real estate development, financial services, healthcare, education, consumer, and crisis. Clients are local, national, and international, and span small companies to large corporations, both private and public.

Expert at reputation management, media outreach and training, marketing, crisis planning and communications, public affairs, digital media, and event ideation to execution, Julie has developed deep relationships with multiple media outlets and reporters, as well as bloggers and influencers.

Julie is a member of the Board of Directors and Chairs the Audit Committee of the V Foundation for Cancer Research, and is Board Director and Treasurer of QL Plus. She is a minority owner of the women’s professional soccer team USL Super League DC Power FC. Julie is also a member of The Economic Club, the Bay Area Council, UC-Berkeley Fisher Center Policy Advisory Board, Urban Land Institute. Other past board and community involvement includes Chair of the Board of Enterprise for High School Students; founding Board Director of Leadership High School; Board Director of San Francisco Architectural Heritage, American Liver Foundation, Choral Arts, and CulturalDC; member of NAIOP, The Belden Club, and CREW. She has previously served as a committee member to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, as well as Lombardi Cancer Center.

Julie is a graduate of Georgetown University with a B.A. in international relations, a minor in art history, and a concentration in Spanish. She earned a Certificate of Completion from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in Leverage Diversity and Inclusion for Organizational Excellence, is a guest lecturer at Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and was a 2020 Real Estate Forum Woman of Influence. She is a daily runner and art enthusiast.
