Don’t Forget the Sunscreen This Summer!

Putting on sunscreen takes minutes, is painless, and can protect you for hours of fun outdoors. Not putting on sunscreen puts you at high risk for melanoma, which can take years of pain and struggle to cure. Don’t forget to put on sunscreen at least 15 minutes before you go on your daily stroll or run, and to reapply at least once an hour, especially if you are hitting the beach or your backyard pool. Remember to check your local weather station for the UV index report. Check out this great report by the Environmental Working Group on a list of sunscreens that will provide you and your skin cells with the best ray protection a couple of dollars can offer.
