Kimberly Stegmaier, M.D.

June 24, 2013

Dr. Kimberly Stegmaier from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute received a 2012 Translational Grant from The V Foundation. Stegmaier and her colleagues have spent years pursuing differentiation therapy, a new approach to treating neuroblastoma that uses compounds that allow cancer cells to mature instead of die. Stegmaier and the team uncovered a probe compound that does this and may provide a new way to target neuroblastoma cells. Read more about Stegmaier and this discovery here.
