The V Foundation for Cancer Research and Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation are uniting with men’s and women’s basketball teams across the country to end childhood cancer. Individuals, families, clubs, businesses and sports teams can dribble through short on-campus courses and engage in other activities with their favorite college athletes while raising funds and awareness for research through the Dick Vitale Fund for Pediatric Cancer.
Register individually or as team today. You can bring hope to kids and their families!
More than 15,000 U.S. children and adolescents are diagnosed each year with cancer. To date, the Vitale Pediatric Fund has awarded nearly $55 million in grants to the nation’s best researchers working to reduce the long-term and harsh side effects of cancer and its treatments, create gentler therapies explicitly designed for kids and give the precious gift of more time to children suffering from cancer.
Dribble for Victory Over Cancer expands on an existing successful community engagement platform founded by Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, together with UCLA and St. John’s University. Since 2008, the two universities have collectively raised more than $2 million for pediatric cancer research, demonstrating what can be achieved by expanding the initiative to include more schools and greater public involvement. Participating college men’s and women’s teams will host Dribble events at their schools in early fall, prior to the start of the basketball season. Participating in Dribble for Victory Over Cancer will give kids and their families battling cancer a chance for brighter tomorrows.
