In 2023, the National Hockey League (NHL), the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the V Foundation announced a new partnership on the Hockey Fights Cancer™ initiative, making the V Foundation the initiative’s official charitable partner. Since then, more than $12.3 million has been raised for cancer research through Hockey Fights Cancer™ powered by the V Foundation, funding game-changing research in hockey markets across North America.
Hockey Fights Cancer was founded in 1998 by the NHL and NHLPA to unite the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families.
