This partnerships between the V Foundation, the Dolphins Cancer Challenge, and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is anchored in a $30 million, 10-year commitment to cancer research, with each organization contributing $10 million to support cancer research at Sylvester.
The Dolphins Cancer Challenge is the NFL’s largest fundraising program and the Miami Dolphins’ year-round effort to fight cancer. The event has raised more than $75 million to fund innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Participants bike 13, 39, 54 or 99 miles distances that represent the jersey numbers of Dolphins Pro Football Hall of Famers or run or walk a 5K, bringing together thousands of riders, runners, walkers, survivors, and supporters to fund lifesaving cancer research.
