Jen Jen Yeh, M.D.

Yeh is a Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrinology in the Department of Surgery and in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill where she is Assistant Dean for Translational Research. Dr. Yeh completed her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, general surgery residency at Boston Medical Center, research fellowships with Drs. Charis Eng and William Sellers at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center, and surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She has an active surgical oncology practice focused on patients with melanoma, endocrine and pancreatic cancers, and is the Director of the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Yeh is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and serves on the scientific and medical advisory boards of the Lustgarten Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and the Seena Magowitz Foundation. Dr. Yeh’s research interests have been focused on integrating clinical, computational and biological approaches to tackle the complexities of pancreatic cancer. Her work has included the identification and understanding tumor-intrinsic molecular subtypes of pancreatic cancer that are prognostic and impact treatment response. Dr. Yeh was co-founder of a start-up focused on the advancement of iontophoretic delivery of oncology drugs for difficult to treat tumors. The mission of her research is to identify promising approaches for pancreatic cancer and accelerating their translation to the clinic.
