Buster and Kristen Posey Fund
After attending the 2016 Dick Vitale Gala, San Francisco Giants’ all-star catcher, Buster Posey, and his wife Kristen, were inspired to make a difference. They were shocked and dismayed to discover that pediatric cancer garners only about four percent of cancer funds raised in the United States.
As the parents of two healthy children, Buster and Kristen felt compelled to stand with those families who have not been as fortunate. Together, the Posey family has committed to raise much-needed funds to benefit the V Foundation’s pediatric cancer research efforts.
DonateBP28 Gala
The BP28 Gala hosted by Kristen and Buster has raised over $5 million in direct support for new research and treatment for kids facing cancer. Proceeds raised at the gala benefit the V Foundation and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.
All-time the V Foundation has funded over $14 million in pediatric cancer research grants to the UCSF/Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This year, the 2023 BP28 Gala was held on September 7th at Oracle Park. The gala featured a special musical performance by singer-songwriter, Jay Allen. The event raised over $1.1 million for pediatric cancer!
