89 Grants Awarded to Top Cancer Research Teams to Fuel Breakthrough Discoveries
CARY, NC (October 17, 2025) – Earlier this month, The V Foundation for Cancer Research joined Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) at its Princeton Pike campus in New Jersey to celebrate the successful finale of the 12th annual Coast 2 Coast 4 Cancer ride, a cross-country charity cycling event that raises funds for lifesaving cancer research. In total, Bristol Myers Squibb raised over $1.35 million from this year’s event that was donated to the V Foundation, including rider-raised funds and a $500,000 corporate match from Bristol Myers Squibb. This donation will support research grants at prominent cancer centers, driving forward high-impact projects to improve patient care and outcomes.

On the screen was Jim Valvano, the legendary basketball coach from North Carolina State, affectionately known as Jimmy V, standing on stage at the 1993 ESPY Awards. Kinlin has served on the V Foundation Board of Directors for over four years, and the retired President of Corning Optical Communications has deep knowledge of the organization, its operation, and strategic goals. Kinlin will serve as Interim CEO as the V Foundation Board of Directors conducts a nationwide search for its new CEO.
