18 hole best ball scramble in memory of Joan Gill, Mardel Sams, and various family members of Waggener Alum.
Three year ago a group of rowdy, passionate Phillies fans piled in to Citizens Bank Park to support their beloved Phillies but more importantly their second baseman, Jean Segura. Decked head to toe in denim, the rambunctious group quickly took night by storm… Jean’s jeans was born. An idea that came from impromptu arts and crafts project snowballed into 70 twenty-something-years-olds singing and dancing on their own. We discovered the attention that a group of ridiculously dressed fans can draw. We saw an opportunity and took to turn this one-off tailgate into a yearly tradition to bring friends and family together while supporting an incredible cause. Over the past 3 years we have raised $9,000 for life changing cancer research.

This gentle yoga and meditation event will be open to anyone who is currently going through treatment, recovery, caregivers, family, friends and anyone who has ever been impacted by cancer and would like a space to breathe and be guided through an accessible and mindful yoga practice. The intent of this event is to bring more light into the cancer care community and help build a brighter future. Some chairs and masks will be provided but feel free to bring your own. The class will be guided by Laura Vanatta, who has been teaching yoga since 2007, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500, and Yoga Therapist in Training. Laura knows that each person’s experience with cancer is unique. She lost her mother, and many other family members to various types of cancer. 100% of proceeds will be donated to cancer research through the V Foundation. Participation is donation based and donations without participation are also welcome.
