Marc Mentry is the Chief Brand Officer at Capital One with 30 years of experience in Brand Management, Product Development, Direct Marketing, Advertising, Media Strategy and Experiential Marketing. Over his 25 year career at Capital One, he has been responsible for leading the breakaway brand from unknown to a top 100 brand in the U.S. He is responsible for the Capital One Brand Enterprise Brand Strategy and Positioning and leading teams focused on marketing the Brand through all of Capital One’s Advertising, Media, Creative, Sponsorships and Social Media channels. This includes leading the award-winning “What’s in Your Wallet” national marketing campaign, all media planning and buying, Capital One’s Sponsorship & Experiential Strategy, Digital & Social Branding and managing a highly decorated In-House Creative Shop.
Before joining Capital One, Marc spent his early career in strategic planning and account management at advertising and PR agencies in Washington, DC and NYC metro areas. He worked for such clients as Nabisco, AT&T, Roche Vitamins and Pharmaceuticals, Schering-Plough, MCI, Network Solutions, AOL, and the American Bar Association.
Marc is an alumnus of George Mason University where he received his degrees in Marketing and Communications. Married to his college sweetheart, Carla, for 26 years they have a daughter, Aidyn, who is a National Baton Twirling Champion and currently the Longhorn Feature Twirler at the University of Texas.
