13th Annual Edward Mengel Memorial Golf Tournament
In honor of my father and children’s grandfather, Edward Mengel, who passed away from cancer in 1995, we created the Edward Mengel Memorial Golf Tournament to raise money for the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The All Pro Lines Confidence Pool
All Pro Lines is a football comedy brand. We raise money every year with a confidence pick ’em pool.
Fourth Annual Dave Thompson Memorial Tennis Tournament
This tennis tournament is in memory of Dave Thompson who contributed a lot to the Howard County, Maryland, tennis community. All attendees will make a contribution to the V Foundation.

The 22nd Annual Dick Vitale Gala will take place on Friday, May 7, 2027 in Sarasota, Florida. The event will feature these 2027 Honorees:
- Terry Bradshaw, 4-Time Super Bowl Champion
- Marcus Freeman, Notre Dame Head Football Coach
- Todd Golden, 2-Time National Champion and University of Florida Men’s Basketball Head Coach
- Rob Gronkowski, 4-Time Super Bowl Champion
- Jay Harris, ESPN SportsCenter Anchor (John Saunders Courage Award)
- Laura Rutledge, ESPN Host (Dick Vitale Spirit Award)
ESPN SportsCenter Anchor Kevin Negandhi will once again emcee the Gala.

Perseverance: The V Foundation 5k
We are hosting a 5k/10k to be held on NC State’s Main campus to start and end at Reynold’s Coliseum. The goal is to highlight the V Foundation, Jimmy V’s legacy at NC State, and cancer research in general. It will be hosted by our Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

Our mission is to honor and celebrate the life of Gerry Cillo, with the vision to raise money for cancer research with the hope that one day a cure for cancer will be found.
