Anthony “Tony” F. Smith, Ed.D., was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Leadership Research Institute, one of the leading management consulting firms in the world.
Smith had more than 25 years of experience in consulting organizational change, executive development and leadership training and design. He served clients in the financial/banking sector, as well as sports, entertainment, professional services and manufacturing and production sectors. His clients included the National Football League, ESPN, Inc., American Express, The Coca-Cola Company and Goldman Sachs.
Smith was also the author of the critically acclaimed books, The Taboos of Leadership: The 10 Secrets No One Will Tell You About Leaders and What They Really Think and ESPN The Company: The Story and Lessons Behind the Most Fanatical Brand in Sports.
Smith served on the teaching and research faculties of several universities, including Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Oxford’s European School of Management and the University of California.
