Jackie Aanes is the chief of staff and executive director of administration for the V foundation. Aanes has 20+ years of experience leading teams and leveraging best practices at the intersections of technology, data, and mission-critical development functions to inform decision making and drive higher levels of fundraising productivity. At the V Foundation, she serves as a senior strategist with the Senior Leadership Team and as a key collaborator with the CEO. Aanes also leads cross-functionally as an operational partner, advancing near-and-long term initiatives while optimizing data, analytics, and systems architecture. She is the executive lead of the organization’s development research activities.
Prior to the V Foundation, Aanes was part of the University of Michigan’s $3.1 Billion Michigan Difference Campaign, and the University of Iowa’s $1.05 Billion Good. Better. Best. Campaign. Most recently, Aanes was director of operations for development and alumni relations at Grinnell College, and helped to scaffold, launch, and celebrate the successful $189 Million Campaign for Grinnell College.
Jackie was raised on an agricultural farm in northeast Iowa, holds bachelors in political science, women’s studies, and an MBA from the University of Iowa, and currently lives in Iowa with her wife and two boys.
