“At a very young age, I lost my grandfather to prostate cancer. And as a child, I didn’t really fully understand the disease, and I just keep asking myself, why did this happen and why couldn’t you be helped? There was grief, there was frustration, but there was also this curiosity that stayed in me. For me, cancer research is not an abstract science. It’s deeply personal. And it’s purpose driven, and that’s what drives me every day.”
