PatientPoint, V Foundation for Cancer Research Team Up to Inspire Waiting Rooms Nationwide
PatientPoint® and the V Foundation for Cancer Research® today announced a content partnership that brings legendary basketball coach and ESPN commentator Jim Valvano’s rallying cry of “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”® to cancer patients and caregivers at the pivotal point of care. The inspirational content, now featured on PatientPoint digital waiting room screens slated to reach more than 18 million patients in more than 500 oncology practices by the end of the year, aims to raise awareness of the V Foundation and its mission to achieve Victory Over Cancer® by funding critical cancer research. Content also encourages waiting patients and caregivers to tune into signature, nationally televised V Foundation fundraising events including the ESPY awards (July 18 on ABC) and the Jimmy V Classic (December 2 and December 4 on ESPN).
As part of the PatientPoint digital oncology waiting room screens program, the PatientPoint & V Foundation content will complement other inspirational messages, award-winning education and personalized messages from individual offices designed to empower patients while they wait.
